If it wasn't for the whole "possibly flying out of the vehicle and injuring somebody else", I'd be fine with it being legal to not wear a seatbelt.

Easier natural selection in my opinion haha let the people who choose to possibly kill themselves do it.

    Agree

If in an accident and proven no seatbelt was being used...the insured w/o the seatbelt should pay the higher premium. Not the rest of us.

It's like in Florida, impact windows or shutters are now a legal requirement for all new homes. Meanwhile we all pay for insurance claims of older homes that may not have opening protection.

When I am driving one of my cars I always wear a seatbelt, has become routine. But when I ride passenger I almost never do, but it is rare that I ride passenger. Or that I ever have a passenger haha.

What I know is the government shouldn't have any say on the windows or doors or siding or roofing I choose to use to build new homes.

If an insurance company wants to give a policy discount because I build a home that's more storm resistant than not, great. Same goes for seat belts and helmets.

Fact is, government has overreached and we are not as free as we used to be.

 what I meant was, if you don't wear your seat belt, you are an idiot.
I'm not even going to go into how I feel about people that don't wear helmets.
