Do your power windows let out a squeal when you take your finger off the switch after rolling it up?

Mine did and I've heard other Tacomas do it as well. Sometimes rain makes it worse. Here's the simple solution.

Remove your door panel and look down inside the door with the window rolled down.

Near where the big gear meets the motor mechanism you'll see a rivet or pin or something (circled in orange). This is what makes the noise. Take some lube of your choosing and dribble it right down onto this area. Doesn't have to be perfect. I used regular 30W. You might get some on the window, wipe it off upon rolling it up. The squeal will be gone the next time you roll it up. I did this over a year ago on my driver side and it hasn't returned, just recently did the passenger.

There are a couple pins visible within the circle. I'm not able to tell exactly which one is the source so I just made sure I got oil on both as well as the immediate surrounding area.

    Have fun.
