oh geeze, I'm blind. I swear I read through that haha. Was thinking what brought you from Australia to FL?

Awesome, I will get the order in today and will be patient with the backordered parts.

The email I got from them said they were hoping for late March but expecting April.

The 940's still aren't on the ocean over to us yet, so at least 2 months from now.

The 941's (extended length) are in stock now though.

I ordered dobinsons for my new ride a month ago from another vendor. I still haven't received them or received an email from the vendor. Apparently, there is a shortage in all products.

Smells of the beginning of an inflationary period to me.

    Get prepared.

To be fair we were warned of this back in August was it? Couple of threads on Tacoma World mentioned that part shortages are coming. Especially from our Australian brethren.

Be careful who you order from. Some don't seem to be doing the right thing with the orders or the customer's money...

Shortages have been happening since April last year

Are the mmr's considered a "mid travel" shock?
Also, what is the shaft size?

Yes, I'd say so, since you don't have to weld new mounts to run them, or change axle lengths, lower control arms, and all that.

The 56mm body MRRs have 18mm shafts, the 66mm body (not Tacoma's) have 22mm shafts.

Hi @Crikeymike, I am looking to have the following lift kit installed through my local shop which is a Dobinson dealer and plan on the following setup:

    Front Spring: C59-314
    Front Struts: GS59-221
    Rear Leaf Spring: L59-111-R
    Rear Shock: GS59-940
    UCA59-003K Upper Control Arm Kit

I have a 2020 Tacoma SR5 4x4 double cab short bed on LT265/75R16 KO2s. I am scheduled to install a go fast camper this summer and just want to do a sanity check that my part list makes sense (camper is approx 300lbs and I plan to carry an additional 200-300 lbs of gear when camping/traveling).

    Thank you!

Is there any significant detriment to running the C59-296 coils on the MRA struts?

Similarly the MRA shocks on about stock height rear?

I know they’re classified as able to work at zero lift, but is there a sacrifice of ride quality or anything at that level?

Also just curious if anyone has moved from the standard Dobinson shock/strut offering to the MRAs and if you have any comment on ride or performance difference.

    Thanks!

You can run those coils on it if you want, you would reduce nose dive and have better cornering from the higher spring rate over stock, and of course you can also tune the front and rear shocks in however you like.

There's a guy on here that was going to do MRA's front and rear with stock height, but hasn't made that happen yet.

I've actually got the standard Dobinsons setup with 314 coils. It's all a bit stiffer than I was hoping for, so wondering if the adjustability of the MRA's will help or if the spring rate really makes the ride quality.

So I guess I should also ask if the MRA coil seat is so adjustable that the 314's could be set to be nearly stock height while using them?
