My Snorkel gets here on Friday and I'm really excited. Any other recommendations besides Sikaflex 227? It's impossible to get without $20+ shipping and a 7 day wait time where I live!

I just picked up some similar sensor safe sealant from advance/auto zone.

    I just got mine!!!

The issue is that I think whoever packed it all didn't include the studs that connects to the body...

There's a bag with all of the studs, washers, nuts and everything all in one bag inside the box. How did the box arrive, was it trashed?

Nope, I saw the bag and it was just missing the studs. Emailed them and Miguel is hooking me up with the studs. So all is good!

All done. Install was simple! It's not secured into the A-pillar yet but it will be this weekend.

I was gonna double sticky tape mine with emblem adhesive... I never did and it’s been fine. I really didn’t want to drill into the cab. The fender is just a flesh wound but I don’t want any problems with water in the cab years down the road.

If you go the tape route for the a-pillar, I recommend "VHB" from 3M. I've used it before and that stuff is strong.

    Still thinking about it.
I just started this thread from the beginning, WHAT? We are installing snorkels to get clean air?? I'm pretty sure they were intended for deep water crossings WAY before they were sold to people that want to look cool. Geez. Ban me,

I gutted my fender liners when I cut up my fender... didn’t really have a choice unless I wanted to suck air right off the top of my tire.

Although snorkels were used for water crossings in the past mainly for military, the recent interest came from Australia. Snorkels are used in the outback on long stretches of dirt roads to keep the air cleaner filter clean.

Look at every semi truck on the road and where they draw their air from.

I stand corrected. Not trying to be a dick. That's a good point. Thank you.

You have any pics of that my friend? Mine just came today and I would prefer to only have to drill in the fender brother.

The one I used was the heavy duty option. Just make sure you get that one. I had no issues under a hundo (never take a pig like this over a hundo; that why I have a motorcycle)
