They are $2,000 as mine had to be replaced and that was straight from a Toyota Dealership.

Yeah I mean, I have no idea what they cost, just what the guy told me. The main problem is my insurance is being very unresponsive. I am probably being annoying but hopefully I'll get a response soon.

Keep bugging them. It’s why we pay for insurance. We have it for “just in case” and so get what you pay for and don’t care about annoying them. You deserve answers.

10 months later and all the snorkel is holding up well, I did however have to ditch the two sided tape method and rivet it to the A pillar which in the end I feel more comfortable with anyway. I was pretty nervous when I drove through some heavy rains for the first time but there was zero issues.

I was nervous about the rain thing too honestly, I am still curious if it is ok or not tog o through touchless car washes, I am guessing it is not since it is forcing water but I have never got a solid answer lol.

I ended up getting a call from the collision place and the other parties insurance is for sure covering all the damages and I think they might even pay the deductible so I shouldn't have to worry any more. Only problem is my aftermarket headlights I had are out of stock online and one of them broke in the incident. I am just having them put in OEM clones for now since I plan to do legit retrofits soon anways.

Snorkel installed but apparently threw away the bolts that attaches snorkel to bracket on aframe. Anyone have the size handy as I can’t find a hardware list?

First time posting on TacomaWorld, thought I’d throw a pic in here since it’s relevant. If you’re thinking of buying a Dobinson’s snorkel, do it. They’re very high quality and well worth the money. Even though they are more economical than ARB.

why not just do the cowl induction mod that reroutes intake to the top of cowling...
people drive water up to hood line, not roof
and snorkel blocks a-pillar driving view even more than the fat pillar already does stock

FWIW, I almost never get complaints about a snorkel blocking any driving view on a left hand drive vehicle with the snorkel over on the right hand side. I feel like that's a common misconception from people that haven't run them before.

Here's the 2nd Gen Taco snorkel from Dobinsons as seen from the driver's view, from one of the members on here.

I've had mine for over a year now and haven't taken it out of the box yet. Got to get it installed.
