@Crikeymike, does this reservoir mounting look correct on passenger side?

 

Glad you love them!!

Just need to make sure that the hose coming off the side of the shock can't contact the frame mount there (where the metal crimp of the hose is), as it's hard to tell from the photo if there's clearance or not. Otherwise it looks good!!

Thanks for the rear shock mounting instructions they had some great info. Do you have any tips for mounting the driver's reservoir in the location shown in those instructions? There couldn't be more stuff in the way when trying to drill and install for the bracket. Was the fuel tank dropped to achieve this location? Passenger was no problem. Below is photo of completed passenger.

 

For what its worth driver side rear shock was installed today. Using the existing hole in frame (circled in pink) to mount resi. Worked out half decent not as clean as the instructions but one less hole to drill

If anyone ever has a problem adjusting or turning the purple or black adjuster knobs on their Dobinsons MRA shocks or struts, here's a guide to clear that up.

I understand the bolt sleeves are for the lower shock bolt on the rear. What about the big washers? The sleeves fit right in them.

 

Correct me if im wrong, but I think the rear shocks work for a tacoma and a 4runner. One size sleeve is for the tacoma (smaller inside diameter) and the other sleeve is for the 4runner. The big metal washer goes on the post for the 4runner before you install the shock on the bottom mount.

 

Does this seem right? For both upper and lower shock mount.

Yeah, that's correct.

The large washers are to go on either side of the lower shock bushing if needed.

 

That would be to isolate the shock mount from the strut body? If needed to fill in that gap?
