Nah i got the Caliraised brackets, but they're showing signs of rust. I should've gone with Rago or someone else.

Judging from build quality, fit, and finish. The Rigid’s are hands down much higher quality product. I will update with performance when installed.

    Cheers

No. Sticking with the CaliraisedLED. I like the low profile, doesn’t really take up a lot of windshield space.

    Cheers

All brackets will rust, no sense spending unnecessary $$$ when they all outsource powder coating.

@ozpall i wouldn’t recommend it. Toyota actually puts a warning sticker on the “Trd snorkel” saying that you shouldn’t as it may cause damage. I just hand wash my truck and don’t go over the opening part when washing and so far so good (takes longer I know but better safe than sorry).

To add to @Johngoesoffroad 's post, the general consensus to to avoid the auto carwash. Regardelss of brand, you risk damage. Mainly to the inlet/head.

Is there a way for water that does enter the snorkel to get out or does it just slowly dry up.

There's a factory drain hole in the airbox that you can keep open but then if you go thru deep water offroad, water can come in there. Otherwise any water that comes in would generally sit in the bottom of the airbox anyway with that hole sealed up and dry up by the air flowing past it

Anyone notice any loss of power with the snorkel?

Been talking to too many Jeep guys but have listened to a few complain about how they felt a loss of power with a snorkel install. One had claimed to even dyno it before and after since he worked at a shop that had a dyno and claimed it decreased power (take that with a grain of salt, never saw proof of that).

Possible, that's pretty much like a ram air intake. the truck will be running lean, save on fuel but less power.

Not sure if it was this thread or another.... Definitely on TW... Some cat wanted to know if it were possible to 3M the snorkel on without cutting the fender... wanted it for looks only.... people who actually benefit from snorkels don't worry about conspiracies surrounding snorkels LOL

Pretty sure that was this thread. Might have been the 2nd gen version of this thread. That said, that seems more like a 3rd gen comment, so my money is on this thread. (<-- sorry, had to do it. you just left it wide open for the slam dunk)

It’s the opposite actually. I felt it gained some Dyno butt hp .

My Butt dyno felt the opposite, so take it with a grain of salt.
