Well, Jesus is supposed to be returning next Wednesday, I think, and so our parabolics should be just after the 2nd coming.... hahhaa, JK. ETA is May 25th to be able to ship them out. They're arriving a few days before that.

Guys, the parabolic springs have landed, and are here in stock now. Let me know if you're interested.

All 3 leaf springs options are now in stock and available. There was a suspension comparison done in this months 4WD Toyota Owner Magazine, giving a breakdown of the suspension options we have, as well as 20+ other suppliers.

Did you get the progressive rear springs installed yet? If so what are your impressions? Pics would be nice too- curious how the springs look on the truck with the bottom leaf hanging down so far.

I am going to let @Dobinsons Mike explain (unless he would like me to chime in)... but lets put it this way, there is a reason you can not buy the parabolic springs any more.

There was a long distance communication error in the manufacturing of the parabolics, and the batch we received were actually made incorrectly, as the incorrect drawings were used. It's a huge PITA, especially for @nd4spdbh who had been waiting so long for them to come in. Our HQ in Australia is sorting out the error and will be correcting it, but it will take some time.

For now, we aren't offering any Parabolics for the Taco's, only the Medium and Heavy load standard type leaf springs.

Explains why I couldn't find them on Amazon.
Shit happens- hope it didn't cause 'nd4spdbh' too many issues and hope it don't take too long to get fixed.

eh shit happens, and Dobinsions made it right. Did absolutely suck to pull stock leafs on, put (the wrong design) parabolics on completely after a bunch of hassle, then have to go back to the original pack..... 2 leaf spring installs in a day to go no where :(

Hey, I'm new to this thread -- just reading through. I am looking to upgrade my rear end [currently running an Icon Stage 4, AAL] with the addition of a bed rack and RTT. I am planning on running them basically full-time. What would you recommend in terms of that? Medium or heavy loads? What are the differences between these and the Deaver U402s? I am assuming I will need to upgrade my shocks as well as I'm running the stock/non-extended length rears, but if I can get away with my current shocks for a bit, that would be nice.

Hey man. How heavy is the bed rack and tent? If they're light, you could run the mediums. Do you have other things in the bed also, or is it empty? How high is the front lifted? How much lift did your AAL give you, if any at all?

Yes, you'll definitely need longer shocks. When short (stock) shocks top out at full extension, it sends a jarring through the whole vehicle and will destroy your shocks very fast. Our rear shocks are very affordable and suitable to match the leaf springs.

I can't compare to that other brand, as I have no experience with them. Ours are similar to the OME Dakars, except that they're silent and less expensive, and we make a medium and a heavy load option, instead of only 1 spring.

You currently have icon stage 4 shocks in the rear? Those are going to be FAR better than any standard style monotube shock (like dobinsions, OME nitrochargers, bilstein 5100/5160)

The rear of the tacoma is really limited by your compressed shock length with stock mounting points. You can get away with a slightly longer shock if you have a thicker leaf pack (like an all pro pack) but I would always suggest measuring first, as you never want to use the shock as the bumpstop. You will NEVER get a shock that fits in the stock location that is long enough not to top out at full droop. Hell even with stock flat ass springs there isnt any shock that will be short enough under full compression that will allow full droop of the rear to a resting spring state.

Now if you start looking into something like a bamf relocaiton bracket and some 12in stroked shocks, you can start to utilize full spring travel.

Awesome, thanks for all the info! I was worried about that -- unfortunately I can't rebuild the shocks I have so I'll probably end up buying the extendeds and selling my current ones.

The RTT is a CVT Mt Shasta, so ~180lbs, the bedrack is probably another....75? I would have to take it out and weigh it, its custom not COTS. Rear bumper is a Mobtown Offroad [not swingaway] steel bumper. I've got a CO2 tank and recovery gear that's hard-mounted in the bed as well.
