    For a 1997? No there is no current recall for rust issues.

    No current recall on the 3rd gen frames but there have been many instances of complete frame rust for northern US/Canadian/Alaskan rigs. Mostly, due to lack of knowledge and care for rust prevention or treatment. Any vehicle in those constant conditions can have the same issues if not properly taken care of.
