I actually turned around to make sure there was no one behind me..

I am waiting for @Mobtown Offroad to build a new bed rack. I change my mind too often.

Brah, a snake oil bridge isn't going to have a particularly high weight bearing capacity.

A free flowing exhaust will make more power at mid to peak rpm, not enough to notice a difference in daily driving.

So then it’s unanimous, exhaust = more power

How much more mid range power do you think is possible from just an ECM tune?

We're speaking of the 2GR-FKS, as that's what the OP is running in his '16 OR...

    Yes and no...
Yes improving the air flow in an engine increases power. The problem is the Toyota is the computer. You can only really adjust the fuel during open loop. You can cheat in some extra fuel in closed loop but mpg is bad.. So be able to get the maximum benefit of a new intake and exhaust you need a matching tune.
The stock intake is good to 4000 RPM and currently there is no good way to calibrate for a new intake...
I have the volant intake and like it but I'm also running the unichip and ovt flash...

On your 2016 you may be luck because OVT currently has tunes to reflash the ecu. I would think he will start adding intake and exhaust tunes.
I think the flash is worth around 20 rear wheel HP.. With an intake and exhaust could be worth 30-40 HP.

On your 07 He is just releasing tunes, I have the bench tune on mine and it's good but doesn't re calibrate for my intake.
The cheapest option is the maf cal but you will have to have it dynoed or finish the tune yourself.
The problem on the 2nd gen is the intake sucking up dirt, sand and rocks. So to off road it you need to add the volant ram air scoop or a snorkel or clean your filter all the time. So at some point you are going to have to change the intake anyway.

For the exhaust a good 2 1/2" is max on a stock engine but could loose some low end. Best option is to just change out the muffler to a noise level you can handle. If you don't want it louder just keep the stock muffler...

So yes adding an intake and exhaust will increase power but with the stock ecu there may be no improvement at lower rpm and no easy way to fix it yet.

Yes, 10 HP easy, and 5 HP gain for each sticker on the truck. 8 HP gain for a windshield banner!

A engine is basically just a big air pump so the more efficiently you can get air in and then back out with no restrictions you re going to more HP

For the exh adding long tube headers , larger dia pipe and if running dual exh adding a x-pipe will dramatically increase HP

Even using a header with a stepped primary design with merge collectors you re going to see a dramatic increase in HP
