Does a Tacoma become a Rattle Trap with Time and Mileage?

Mine has 18000kms, it has a noticable rattle inside the drivers door. My 2009 had this develop around 10 000kms as well, same sound, same location.

 

I should add, this is a lot less shaking and rattleing than my '05 Frontier, that thing was a rattle box, right from new.

 

I had a 1989 toyota reg cab 4x4 with 315,000 and it drove great!!! And i hope my Tacoma dose as great as my 1989 P/U!! I have 32,000 on my Taco with a Downy/ OME lift ARB bumper with a warn m8000 winch and it runs great!!!

 

The way to keep it from squeaking is keep modding it until everything has been replaced and/or fixed at least once. So far it's worked for me but I stay broke a lot.

 

my 05 DC doesnt rattle, but the sh#$t creaks like a 1850's victorian, the doors creak when the truck flexes over speed bumps and going into parking lots, the flippin cup holders sound like a herd of mice is loose down there, and of course the factory leaf bushings are always sqeaking. Not to mention the ticticticticticticticticticticvtic.. overall think toyota is fallin off. im not at all stoked either when the dealer tried to deny me my TSBS!! Fword im glad that putz CEO was crying, shows how weak toyota is right now.

I've got just over a 100,000 on my 2005 and I have no rattles or anything

My dash rattles alot, my sun visor rattles going over everything. I just turn my iPod up real loud and no more rattles.

 

Like the two other new cars I've owned, at first it's quiet, then it develops some rattles that last a couple thousand miles, and then those go away and it never makes another sound.

 

2300 km
light tapping-knocking sound coming from the bottom of my left rear doors. It comes and goes when I make a turn.

 

05 65k, it's pretty damn solid still. I cannot hear any rattles except the box of 17hmr rounds behind the seat, but gopher season is over so that rattle will be replaced with AR ammo for prair dogs!

 

i have a 2007 d-cab sr5, has 81k on it no rattles that i know of. been good

 

The rattles don't bother me it the smoke and flames coming from the engine compartment that really worries me!! Haha, The only annoying noise is when I turn up the radio and the window control panel vibrates. But the radio is real loud at that time...no wonder why i dont hear other noises!

 

50k on my 05, and the only extraneous noise is the squeaky whine behind the back seat. Haven't seen my ex-wife in a long time.

 

If you treat it good it'll take care of you, if you don't it'll be a pile of shit

 

Turned over 30k today. Have a few miscellaneous squeaks and rattles. Nothing affecting the durability, but slightly annoying. I've noticed that my springs have started sqeaking when anyone gets out of the truck.

 

My 02 had nary a rattle or squeak at 121k, other than the clutch pedal when it was hot n humid.

 

got the same thing except my 6spd tranny rattles like a mofo. took it twice for check up. also plastic rattles and metal squeaks
