Saw a thread about this yesterday and the person said it was the strut for the glovebox, became loose or something.

Oh, ok. I didn't realize it was a common thing on these trucks, just something that was going on with my old truck. Just did a search and there is all kinds of info. Thanks for the heads up.

Well for me it was the heater fan. I did have it replaced on my 2008 taco. There was also one other time that it was making alot of noise after I had it replaced, I investigated myself and found that a leave or something was in there in the path of the fan. Once I cleaned it out, it was fine.

My 2006 has about 120K miles now. I have minor vibes that are felt thru both pedals at all speeds (even stopped at a stoplight) -- some kind of engine vibes (these are different from the vibes I got after lifting, as I've discussed in other threads). Nothing severe, just enough to be annoying.

Also, I took it off road yesterday and I felt a loose, rattly feeling in the front end over stutter bumps. I will inspect everything tomorrow to see what might be going on.

Having said that, I have ZERO interior rattles, except for when I turn my subwoofer way up. :D Then a few things start resonating at certain frequencies.

I drove a GMC Sonoma the other day that had less than 60K -- you want to talk about a rattle trap, holy moly! It had less than half the mileage of my Taco but appeared to be 10x the "age".

I have 25,000 on mine and it rattles, but its a base model 4x4. Im not to worried about it as long as it drives for a long time.

    My 07 is pretty quiet.

I've been impressed with my Dad's 97 Expedition, it is relatively quiet for it's age.

My 98 Explorer rattled like hell over the smallest bumps and it only had 80k miles.

I have this rattle, sounds like its in the dash. Only at certain RPM's when its cold. Other than that...no other rattles.

I have a rattle in my dash @ 81k miles. Usually only rattles on really bumpy washboard roads.

I had one in the back for a while but just found out it was the plastic cover plate on my amp that was loose. A quick tightening of the screws with a phillips head screwdriver fixed that rattle.

I just (Dec) traded in a 2004 DC V6 with 107,000 + miles and it was just about a quiet as the day I got in 2004.

    Cheers
