I think that's more of a butt mod. My longest was 12hrs from Reno to Moab UT. Of course it was a last second thing and I left Reno at 6pm = bad move. I made it though: 1 gas stop, 1.5 cans of Copenhagen, 3 redbulls, and loud music. I saw some neat stuff on that drive... none of it real.

By the way, my father-in-law-to be just did that drive, but to Reno, in 3 days and he's 63.

no doubt, take your time. and take a nap. after a while, your eyes will need a rest.

my longest road trip was just a tick under 1000 miles from the NW chicago burbs to charleston, sc. it was nice to have a co driver. but of course being the man, i got to deal with the bad weather leaving and returning.

Driving takes more out of you than could imagine. I frequently drive long distances, last year was from my home in Virginia to Denver in 2 days, 1735 miles, Then was almost 1800 miles back in 2 days. Be careful. In 2005 I drove by myself from Virginia to Sturgis South Dakota in 2 days about the same mileage. Can be brutal based upon weather. At least you will have nice scenery!

Left L.A. on monday morning. Tuesday night I slept in Dallas for about 6 hours. Left Dallas pulled into Raleigh NC Thursday night. Did this just to catch the ex wife cheating on me. I am a over the road truck driver and I made my dispatcher lie on my location when she called in just so that I could catch her. Notice she is my ex. Sorry to thread jack but this is the reason for the long miles.
