Does ALSD work when reversing? Slippery and trying to back up a very slight incline and no go. Making a turn around. First one rear spun then the other. I lifted as soon as I heard a wheel spin. Selected 4X4 and of course no problem.

I’ve used in in the same scenario. Worked great the 1st time I tried it, all I heard was a tone and the truck backed up with no problem. However, the second time I tried it, it spun both wheels and just shifted to the side some. In both cases it was steep and slippery at this particular turn.

I think the difference to the outcome was how much gas was given. I think it works better in that scenario when the gas pedal is feathered instead of going all out.

We had a HUGE downpour early this morning and I decided to try it again on the way out to work knowing that steep sharp turn was going to be wet and slippery. This time, I feathered the throttle and gave it a bit of pedal and instantly heard the tires slip and that “tone,” almost like a hearing test tone via headphones. It started to move, the whole time partly slipping. I kept the throttle where it was at, and then heard the clicking of the traction control and up it went. As long as you don’t do a John Force, you’re going to be good to go.

I dig the ALSD traction control. Good thing MotoGP starts tomorrow, because I dig their traction control too!!!
