I have a question for you Tacomathunder. I got to thinking on this, when you do this plane spotting at airports using video cameras, do any of the airport security officers notice this? I would think they would be all over you with questions and would not want you doing this.

I'm not saying your some kind of terrorist or anything, I'm just wondering why they aren't noticing you, because of airport security purposes. Maybe your on private property and it doesn't matter?

I am a huge fan/junkie of flying and I am obsessed with anything that has to do with flying... I am working on my Private Pilots license and as soon as I complete that, I'm going for my tail dragger rating along with IFR rating, then going for multi prop. I am a candidate for the USAF Academy and am awaiting my acceptance letter... Wanna fly C-130's, C5's, etc. as my second choice, with fighters as my first if I make it that far. Love to talk aviation... :)

I'm a flight medic on an airplane. Its pretty cool stuff. I dig sitting around at the airport and watching all these crazy rich guy and military aircraft buzzing around.

Good school. I have all of my A&P cert classes from them. I just need to take the time to take the FAA test.

it is legal but you will still get harassed by security and sometimes the police.

Hey Bako Truck, haha, no terrorist activities is not my objective. But no I have never had a problem with security or the police, in fact they have seen me up close taking video. I take video from a designated spotting area though were pictures are allowed, so i just take video also... Its just a hobby of mine

I use to take my Son when he was little to Hartsfield (ATL). There is a place on the Northside of the airport where you can park & watch the aircraft land & take-off.

This is how I taught him the aircraft type, whether a DC-9,757,MD-11 or what.
