I always take the stairs if I can. I don't work out as often as I should, so I pretend I'm getting healthy by taking the stairs. Plus, where I work the elevators get stuck too often for me to ever ride on them.

What if it's 12 stories? What's your story limit to just take the elevator?

How much time do I have? Seriously. If I have time I take 12 flights. If not I ride. I prefer the stairs. I would say regardless of time I'd always take 4 or 5 flights without even thinking of the elevator.

Grown and gone. And yes, they took a lot of stairs when little. My kids grew up hiking the mountains in Alaska. They did daily 2-3 mile hikes when 4-5 yrs old. I never realized that wasn't normal until people would visit with similar aged kids. Their kids would be whining after 100 yards.

I figure as long as I'm out with a beer drinker, it's safe to try new things and pass them over to him if I don't like them. lol Waste not, want not! I am looking forward to trying more and hopefully finding others I like as much as that first one!

I'll admit - I've picked out wine because of the bottle plenty of times (doesn't usually work out) so I'm sure I will be guilty of that with beer too. Gotta find out what you like somehow!

    Happy Monday!

Drive thru ATM. Some are built into a bulding/bank others are stand alone units. Always pull up past the stand alone unit to make sure someone isn't standing on the other side or take the couple steps on foot make sure someone isn't lurking in the vicinity. People are desperate these days be prepared for anything.

I'm the same way but not to the same degree, but I'll almost always take the stairs if it's a 2 - 5 story building unless I'm in a hurry. I go to a gym that's 2 stories with an elevator and I just shake my head at the amount of people I see opting for that over taking the stairs...it sort of screams irony (talking about able-bodied people).

For similar (less logical) reasons, I always take the push/pull doors instead of the automatic ones if there's an option when going into a building.

I have to add as well...on top of the sound of people chewing loudly driving me homicidal, I get the same way with people that act like they can't control their body functions in a public place (like an office setting). We got a new guy here at work several months back and at least 10 times an hour he hocks up huge snot balls at his desk, belches, hacks up these god awful coughs that sound like a dog choking on something (he's a smoker which makes it worse)...I sit here and daydream things that a normal, sane person should not be thinking about :violent:

I don't know if that makes me the one with the weird quirk or him, but it doesn't seem to bother anyone else in the office; either that or I'm just the one with the shortest fuse...which is entirely possible.
