Ive got a access and love having a six foot bed, I will always have a toolbox in my bed no matter the truck so a short bed would be like a 4 feet for me, which is pointless. Only reason I can actually see having a dcsb is for offroading, but I sure as hell never see mud or dirt on the two dcsb's that live on my street.

I wanted the long bed and tried and tried to find one thinking I absolutely had to have it.

Finally realized it was to tough to find the one I wanted (color/year/mileage/package) so I just got a SB and LOVE IT. Tossed a ARE X Series campers shell on it and haven't had any hauling issues like I thought I would....

I guess a shell or lumber rack would take care of most hauling problems with a sb, I wouldnt mind having a nice lumber rack on mine.

DBSB FTMFW! Long bed is not proportional in my opinion. There are times I wish I had the longed for hauling purposes, but it is not often enough for me to walk out and look at the disproportionate longbed on my truck everyday

I bought the access cab with long bed and love it, even though I rarely haul stuff. However, on the two occasions that I had to haul stuff, the long bed was precisely what I needed.

The shortbed looks stumpy after the cab. Long bed has the proportions of a man's truck!!!:benchpress:

It would be nice to have a longer Bed for camping and work (construction) but even with the dcsb i hit the payload limit pretty fast with a lumber rack and tools and materials...

same here, I use it for camping so the 6" bed makes difference. also helps with long river fishing rods that only breakdown into two parts.

    LB FTW!

Up here you have one choice if you want a manual is a short box and if you want an auto you only have one choice it's a long box, so there's not too many short box here

Exactly. I can't think of any situations I've been in where an extra 12" of bed would have saved the day. If I'm hauling that much shit my Tacoma bed wouldn't be my first choice to haul it with.

I personally think the LB looks ugly and grandpa-ish. I've seen a few lifted LB's that looked great(and proportionate) though.

Someone else mentioned the SB being too short and the LB being too long and I agree with that. I cringe when I see those Ford Sport Trac things with the 23" "truck bed". o_O

Don't get butthurt. Everybody has their opinions and personal taste.
