Hard to get me to haul anything in a $30k truck. I would rather scratch and beat up a $3k trailer. I have a topper with a Thule rack for lightweight long stuff. Long bed just didn't look right proportionally. I wanted the 6spd, but I went auto for resale. Also seemed like it was fewer problems than the stick. Availability and price finalized all of my decisions. The dealer that would negotiate had this truck on the lot... They would not match the price off of Msrp on an ordered truck. Wanted an off-road in blue, bought a TRD sport in white for $1400 less.

Why anyone wishes for a 5' bed on a truck is beyond me

Bought DCLB kept it 2 months and traded for DCSB. Like the ease of parking and maneuverability of the DCSB.

I seldom haul anything large enough to need the LB but it would not fit my garage anyway. The SB will fit my garage.

There are situations where some people benefit from the additional room in the LB. I am not one of them.

My TRD DCSB 4X4 Off Road is just the right size for my needs.

Because it serves most people's hauling needs.
Meanwhile, there are guys with full size trucks and 8' beds who feel the same way about your 6' bed.

Everyday I regret getting the SB over the LB. I am just too cheap to take the loss on purchasing a new truck when I have one that works perfectly. I will not make the same mistake next time.

They both look a little silly, as if an in between size would actually be correct. LB looks like a limo and the bed on a SB looks wrong. Stock the SB looks better wheels and or lift and I think the LB looks better. Guess I'm lucky that the LB fits in my garage if I need it to. With downhill mountain bikes and two German shepherds the LB was an easy choice.

Mine fits if I back it up into the garage. Extra foot Is negligible IMO. So my truck sits outside since I don't have room now inside too keep the taco in.

Really glad I got the SB over LB. SB fits my ATV, and I have a utility trailer if i need to move more at once.

I have a short bed since that's the only choice with a DC manual. Every time I think about owning a fullsize or long bed I realize how I can barely get my Tacoma in many of my favorite outdoors destinations. The short box is about perfect for tight fire roads that are washed out and full of rocks.

I'm surprised to see people complain that the long bed makes the truck difficult to park. Really?! Half the vehicles on the road are bigger than our trucks. Parking shouldn't be a concern.

I like the look and function of the dclb best and it fits in my garage so I'm lucky. It's all about personal preference and needs though. And a bed extender does not make up for the difference. They're garbage. Especially with our tailgates. If the were hinged to swing out like a gate rather than rotate up they would be better.

If you can't park a DCLB , that's driver error , don't blame the truck

The only time I wish I had the long bed is when I put my dirt bike in the bed. It would be nice to be able to close the gate
