I have a 2011 tacoma Trd 4x4 and have noticed that I feel the brake pedal clicking sometimes when I press it. It doesn't happen all the time but I do notice it. I had a 2010 and never felt anything. I took it to the dealer today and they said it was "normal". I guess I will put some miles on it and see what happens. Thanks

Yes I do, also. I am 99.9999% sure it's normal and has something to do with hydraulic boosters. 2011 V6

Thanks for the quick reply. How do you like your new 2011 off road? I just bought a silver 2011 off road Saturday.

    I don't get a click. I get a "squish" sound.

i get it occasionally. not sure if it's normal or not but it only happens when the brake is depressed almost all the way.
I drove my friend's corolla and it clicks more frequently than my tacoma

This was driving me crazy so I wen to the service department.

I get the squish-They said that was noral on the new brake system they added.

I have the click-shop guy said that Toyota has a throttle overdrive in the brake systems to so0lve those runaway Toyotas they had a coule years back.

Basically you push the brake in feel the click this turns off the throttle so in a runaway (stuck pedal) situation you press the brakes and it disables the pedal.

Will take some time to get used to and imo just another part to brake.
