Bare minimum InstaVIN.com $7. I used it before just to crosscheck Carfax reports to see if the title was clean or not. Do *NOT* expect as much info as Carfax. You get what you pay for.

I think the last Carfax I got had all the car history along with dealership maintenence, mileage and other information. The InstaVIN on the same car had clean title, original title date, dealer registration, and second owner registration. That's it.
