I had the front passenger bushing on my 16 crack & the rubbing against the frame was causing the noise.

They replaced it & so far so goof

Mine squeaks badly, all the time. Already on second set of rear leaf-springs in first 2500 miles. Also had to have propeller shaft, exhaust system, and entire rear brake system replaced. Was thinking it might be a heat-issue; saw the exhaust glowing, OBDII data shows 1925F at front converter when hauling less than 450lbs cargo; MPG around 6..... Perhaps the passenger side spring bushings too hot?

Maybe too much stress; truck seems to like shifting itself from 4th into 1st or second about every five seconds when driving around 50mph on a slight grade.

Lemon Law-suit in progress, fire extinguisher and good shoes in back seat until this drink-garnish of a truck gets dismantled.

I'm wondering if the squeaking noise some of you are having could actually be from dry U-joints??
    Anyone check for that?

I'll preface this by saying I've taken my truck offroad to the fullest extent still covered under warranty. Noticed my truck squeak after getting back from leaving it parked in an airport garage for around 5 days. As I was driving to exit the parking garage there was a definite creak seemingly coming from the front end. This is about 1 month ago, went away for a few weeks and is back again. Taking it in to the dealer next week for my 10k, just retorqued my u-joints (52ft.lb), about 6 of them required more than half a turn. This is after I had my dealership "check" at 6k, along with the diff fluid level, tranny, and grease the driveshaft.

Will be checking my diff fluid, trans fluid, and zerks after my 10k to see if my dealership is actually doing the work. Also might back off 2 of the u-joint nuts to see if they get them.

Make sure you're close by stealership to & fro.
Seriously doubt they'll catch that just by looking at them, but hope is eternal lmaoo!
