Pics of the backend/boot/install situation? Looking for something better than these bulbs and considered LED or HID but the cutting of the boot thing has been a deal breaker thus far. I've got lots of stock headlights laying around if I can just use the stock boot to fit tightly onto this housing. I see you've got a 2014 so maybe the difference in housings makes this easier than on the earlier versions like mine.

The stock boot should be the same size as the ones that come one these units. Just try and see if it fits.

The install was easy just time consuming since I wanted everything to look nice and not have a crap load of wires everywhere. I just disconnected the wires that came out of the housing and bulb and ran them thru the stock boot then put it on. I left the one that come with the headlights on just in case something were to happen and I were to need to use the warranty I could put everything back together like normal. So I have the wires coming out of the back wrapped in electrical tape through the hole and about 6-8” of wire then the original boot is hanging out and then the connections for the wire harness. Sounds like a lot but it’s really not at all. If you look closely you can see the second boot just chillin haha but I have all the wires tucked nicely and more electrical tape covering everything. Came out really nice actually

Yep, I fully understand what you did and it does sound easy. Even easier now that I see the photo. I've lost count of how many HID conversions I've done over the decades so I'm no spring chick but seeing those pics really helped me visualize the project and I think it should be pretty simple actually. Looks like I'm in the market for a good 4500k 35-watt H11 conversion kit.

    Thanks!

Anyone notice the outside turn signal bulb on these is just a blacked out piece of plastic? Just installed mine and realized the only indication from the side is my mirror signal.

That little parking light bulb doesn't blink with the turn signals on the OEM lights..

I was worried on this also. It is technically the side marker bulb and is required by law. I was thinking about modifying them to work.

I wonder if anyone's had legal issues with this. I'm not up for modding that. Maybe keep us posted?

If you look at it from the side, it kind of is a side marker.

Took a look at the Pro Tuning Labs lights listed on the previous page. What does the relay resistor harness do and is it needed?

Took some beam shots last night. Low beam and high beam. These are the Ultra Canbus HID kit from DDM Tuning. 55 watt 5500K temp. They look damn good and I love the pure white look. Definetaly better than the H9 halogens that come stock in these units.

Nice! Yeah that 5500K looks perfect and got a solid high beam.

Thanks! yea the 5500k is the way to go. I'm not a fan of the blue tint at all, I think it looks ghetto hahah. The high beam is crazy, really nice even spread. I love it.
