I have a 2019 offroad. The bluetooth music plays fine but when I get a call it shows it incoming on the screen but doesn't play on the speakers. It worked fine for the first 6 months. Also the beep when I press the buttons turned off even if the beep is set to on in the settings. The navigation on my phone and the text messages also plays fine through the speakers. Thanks.

Do you have an iPhone? If so, do you answer the incoming call by pushing Answer from your phone? If you answered yes to both of these then it's an iOS thing where if you press answer from the handset it plays the audio through the phone. If you answer using the buttons on the steering wheel or the headunit, it should remain on bluetooth audio for the call.

My only guess is Apple believe if you answered the call from the handset you must want to talk privately.

If you answered no to either, then I don't know...

My source for this is my experience in my 2017 with JBL audio

Don’t answer the call from your phone, use the buttons on the steering wheel or the HU maybe?

Thanks for the replys. I have a Samsung s8 and I usually press the screen to answer on the head unit. The sound is really soft on the speakers on max volume and the caller cannot hear me. I called the dealer and I'm bringing it in.

Yes. I did that many times. Also unplugged the battery overnight. Same thing. It works perfectly with the talking text messages and music and google maps just not with the calls. Weird.

Try to delete you current phone from the head unit in the settings. Then set up your phone again, I have a Samsung as well, and this fixed some issues.

Try to set up a different phone, wife, girlfriend, side chick and see if the issue is resolved, that will eliminate one or the other.

Probably wouldn’t bring the side chick/wife at the same time. Things could get weird. Unless they’re into that sorta thing than rock on!! :woot:

Just tried the GF's pos LG phone and it does the same thing. Dang. I guess it's the truck. I should have known it was the head unit after the beeps stopped working.

Phone volume is independent of speakers volume. Search around the menus.
