Bummer. Reset the head, then head for the dealer. That’s what a warranty is for.

 

Thanks all for the help. I took out the chip from my Samsung s8 and put it in my old iPhone 5s and had someone call my iPhone 5s while it was connected to the truck and it did the same thing. It's confirmed it's the head unit. Hopefully the dealer takes care of it Tuesday.

 

Maybe her hot cousin's phone will work??!






I'd get the dealer on it...the hu, maybe it has issues and needs a firmware update.
On my 17 I was having some weirdness then they updated it and it seems ok. I usually use the steering wheel controls or push the and button on the screen.....I rarely touch the phone when driving.

Went to clean out my truck before going to the dealer tomorrow. Turned on the stereo and now everything works. The beep noise when you press the buttons came back and now the phone calls come out of the speakers as normal. I don't know how it fixed itself. Oh well.

 

Toyota says this is normal
