I am installing a Pro Comp 2.75"F 1.75"R lift kit for my Base 2006 Toyota Tacoma SR5 2WD 5 Lug and I am planning to do it myself to save some money (freaking out cuz i'm a newbie).

Well, in one the steps for the instructions it says to ''trim the long stud on the top of the strut 1/2" using a cutting wheel''. Well, given that i'm obviously not a mechanic, i do not own that tool. Does anyone know where can I rent one? Or do regular mechanic shops will let me show up and be like "hey, i need you to cut this bolt 1/2", it'll just take a minute, okay thanks bye." Because obviously I don't need to buy a cutting wheel.
Or any other tips or ways you know to trim that bolt please let me know! Thanks!

Here is the link, it's step #14 on page 5:

Harbor Freight, or see if any local TW members can lend you a tool or just do it for you.

    It's kind of my thing.

But seriously, I'd post up in your regional sub forum and see if you can toss a beer or two to a local for helping cut them or for letting you borrow a tool.

If that doesn't work, for $20 at Harbor Freight you can handle that yourself and have a cheap tool someone else can borrow later if need be. ;)

Yea and hard to get at least in SoCal. I got lucky, i found them at Whole Foods but that's about it. I know a couple of bars that they ocassionally have them but they sell the pint for like $12-$15 and that's if they don't sell out. My buddy waited in line outside the Brewery for hours for Pliny the Younger. Crazy

I did that once for 20 minutes then said fuck this. You either commit to the 5 hour wait or you stand there for 3 hours before changing your mind and waste all that time, so we ditched.

Came back next year with entrance passes and walked in the back door of the bar with wrist bands and had our beers before 5 minutes had passed. That said, now that I've had it - I wouldn't wait in line for it for any amount of time.
