Does anyone know if you can get a Sport Hood w/ the scope from a dealership?

Thinking of getting the OR but really like the hoodscope; I called the service/parts department at my dealership but have not heard back so thought I would ask here. Has anyone ordered a color matched sport hood from a Toyota dealership?

 

You will either have to pay the bodyshop to order and paint it or find an owner that is willing to trade hoods with you.

 

Depending on where you're at, some dealerships can order it for you unpainted. If you're buying new I would talk to a sales person and see if they can work it into the deal.

You know they're non-functional, right?

 

That's a good idea. I want a Scope in my hood scoop. Maybe like a Periscope? Or just a scope for hitting pedestrians?

 

1. Buy an OR and a Sport in the same color
2. Switch hoods and sell Sport
3. ????
4. Profit!

Pretty sure in some other thread someone posted about a hood that comes sanded and unpainted for 700 and you can color match it

 

Of wow you should notify Toyota. They keep making the mistake of installing them.

 

You may get +20 with your cai, but you forgot to factor in minus wind drag caused by the scoop. Something around -75hp with cai sounds closer.

 

WTF - I only get 10hp from my SKEWP! I am going straight to my service manager - I got a a bad skewp!

 

Speaking of Skewps, anyone remember when you could spot a supercharged 3rd Gen 4Runner by the scoop!

I get no HP from my skewp, but it does Get the panties wet and gives me a semi boner.

 

Damn your last post was about bumpers and fenders and this one is about the hood! Not sure why you bought one if you don't like the front half of it!
