    What's up!

I'm looking to see if anyone knows the size of the bolt that holds the plastic storage area in behind the rear seats? I made a new board as part of my seat delete and need a slightly longer bolt (I have already counter sunk the bolt hole to the max). I know it's a M10 just looking for thread pitch. If anyone has any idea it would be appreciated!

I'm probably wrong but that looks like a 6mm x 1.0 with a 10mm head. I could tell you better if you placed something in there to give some perspective like an ink pen.

That looks like a typical 6mm used in a zillion places on the truck. If so I think it's a 1.0 thread but ether way it's a common thread for that bolt and most you'll find will have the same pitch. Ace or Home depot carry them. The pic below is a 6mm and a 10mm both from the tacoma.

I might be stating the obvious here, but take it to the hardware store, where you plan to get a longer bolt, and measure it in their thread checker...

Is there another type of pen that doesn't have ink? (Sorry, I just had to :))

In a former life of my work required that we delineate if there was a possibility of misinterpretation or else some very bad things could happen. It's an old habit

    Banana for scale? lol!

Seriously, you could damn near dismantle the truck with 10mm wrenches and sockets, since so much of it is held together with 6x1.00 bolts and screws of various lengths.

As a general rule, most bolts in a automotive applications that are M6 will be a 1.0 thread spacing and M8 will be a 1.25 thread spacing. Finer M8 threads are sometimes used brake caliper slide pin bolts, but most everything else will be M8x1.25. M10 and bigger is where you'll find different thread pitches between manufacturers...
