Does anyone know what this seal is?

I had this weather stripping/seal fail on the side door of the snug top camper shell on my 2006 Tacoma and have not been able to figure out a replacement yet. The seal in question is on the actual door, not the shell, and it seems to mate with the seal on the shell. It almost looks like a 90 degree angle that fits around the top side of the door. You can see in the photos where it has started to fail. I went to the local snug top dealer in town and they contacted snugtop directly but still couldn’t find an exact match.

Has anyone seen this kind of weather stripping before and can point me in the right direction?

If the manufacturer can't help you, clean it up and use a little Gorilla Glue to put it back in place.

Is the seal actually broken or just came off the door? If the seal is worn and broken, the manufacturer is the first place I'd call.

It honestly looks as if all they used was a double sided tape material that fell apart. That would really need to be all cleaned off [acetone] to allow new tape to stick properly to the surface. If you go that route, use some good double sides tape from 3m or another quality brand because the non glue part of the tape is where cheap companies ''cheap out'' and use crappy foam backing.

^Snugtop is now part of the same company as Leer, Pace Edwards, and Bedslide. But yeah if the local dealer is no help, a generic Amz seal would be where I'd look: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=tailgate+seal

Thanks for all the replies. The seal seems brittle like it is starting to fall apart, so I’m not sure how well it would hold if I try to glue it back on. Also, it got flattened in some areas where it used to be the 90 degree angle it is now smashed almost flat because it got wedged in between the door and the other seal. I checked out some of those options in the links you guys posted, and those might work with some creativity but still don’t look like a close match. I’m almost starting to think if snug top doesn’t have the seal anymore I might just pull it off and spray some water on it to see if it’s still watertight if I run without it.

I’d give the hose spray a go and see what happens, looks more like a secondary dust seal than anything else. The primary seal looks to be mating to the door by the marks on it. You could always just add a bulb seal like from Trim-lok or something. Or see if McMaster Carr has anything similar to what is on it currently if you want a closer match.
