I just traded my 2004 Dodge Dakota 2wd 4dr for a 2016 Tacoma TRD OR DBL CAB in quicksand! I went from a turd to a diamond! It's my first new vehicle ever and It is awesome! all the new features like the entune, heated seats, bsm, sunroof, 4x4, backup camera! I love my new truck and look for reasons to drive it!

Had the blowing in beer bottle sound from the lower control arm. Fortunately because of information provided by good folks on this forum it was an easy $5 fix with 9/16 plugs with a drain hole punched in. Otherwise LOVE it. Toyota truck owner since 1983. This one so far is my favorite. My only problem is you all do some great mods that I want or have added and my savings account is nearly depleted. Time to start working some overtime! image.jpg

I have honestly only owned one brand new truck in my 49 years that had zero, no issues mechanically, functionally, or aesthetically All systems worked flawlessly, no rattles, leaks, nothing negative. It's a 2015 Ford F 250 Crew Cab Super Duty with 6.2 V8. Most quality truck I've ever owned. I guess only issue is 11 mpg!!!!! Lol

I love mine 5k miles the only problem is the shifting on the auto trans. Don't know how long that trans will last with all that up and down shifting but I'll gladly replace it in 10 years if I have to

The Colorado forums do seem to have far less complaints. I do realize forums really magnify vehicle troubles but there have been a lot of issues with the 2016. Not trying to butthurt any fanboys. I realize most buyers are happy but there seems to be a reoccurring theme even with auto journalists that the auto tranny + V6 = a less than ideal driving experience.

Maybe because there are many more Tacomas sold than Colorados.

And I'll bet the vast majority of us with a V6 paired with the AT are having no issues whatsoever.

    I like mine so far.

Interesting to note here that I paid within $500 of what a family member paid for a 2006 TRD Sport at new.

Not calling you a liar just very hard to believe. You can't even get the base model for much less the 22k. Most expensive truck in 06 was 25k

What exactly do you have? I guess if you got the lowest possible '16 model it could be close to a decked out 2006 TRD sport.
