Cactuscorn, please tell me about the difference you are noticing in the engine & tranny??? Are you talking gas mileage, performance or ??? So far the best my display has shown for avg mpg is about 18. Was hoping to get closer to the 21-22 range. DSCN1604.jpg I have a '16 Limited 4x4 and it seems like mine doesn't wanna move unless you really put your foot into it. Pulling out on my local highway and just gradually pressing the pedal to speed up it's like it doesn't want to shift out of the gear its in to the lower gear. ALSO, like many others, mine has the weird steering wheel/driver's floorboard 'buzz' between 40-60mph when the tranny drops into that 6th gear. I'm hoping Toyota has a fix for that SOOOON! My truck only has 575 miles on it! Kinda frustrated to tell ya the truth.

Very pleased with mine so far. In fact, I'm enjoying it much more than I honestly thought I would.

Amazed how much has changed in the trucks from my 04 to my 16.

One of the reasons you don't see "I LOVE MY 16" threads is because you're considered a Fanboy if you geek out on your truck. This forum is a fickle little gem sometimes.

    * this only applies to 3rd gen owners. If you've got a 1st or 2nd, you may defend your LOVE for it relentlessly

Shit let let them call me a fan boy. Toyota trucks, Apple computers and phones, Stihl saws, H&K pistols. I love a brand name. Drink all the cool aid you can. LOL

So...you have a 3rd gen...and you don't want to admit you love your 3rd gen because others will think you're a geeked out fanboy? That's ridiculous. I say why care what others think as long you love your truck.

Love mine OUTSIDE of a couple quirks that are mentioned often in other threads... But I am confident TOYOTA will get TSBs out soon to address them. I only have 575 miles on it and I hear some of the quirks go away after the truck 'learns' your driving habits. I will be patient.DSCN1603.jpg DSCN1604.jpg

I have always posted good things about my truck. Hell, I started a thread explaining that I have an emotional relationship with the damn thing and probably need help! I also have a build page... I was just explaining why people aren't "allowed" to say how much they love the new truck

Ok, I just didn't follow you there. I'm not sure where you got that impression.

We got Colorado boy here telling everybody he love his Colorado on the Tacoma forums.

Love my Silver SR5 long bed. Getting lots of compliments and questions about the new design. Definitely an upgrade from my 1999 Sierra.

I love mine. DCSB TRD OR 6 MT w/tech. Blazing Blue Pearl. About 1200 miles so far. No real issues. Pleasure to drive. Would I change a few things? Yes. I'd be happier with a bit more power and mpg. Engine can be loud at times. Some additional bells and whistles like power seats, but overall very happy. Nothing is perfect. Right?

Here is a fun test to illustrate how much more complaints surface than compliments. Look up any well regarded vehicle in google by saying x complaints or x problems or x reviews. You will come upon a consumer complaint website or two that will give it between one and two stars no matter what it is.

Love mine. I haven't experienced any of the normal complaints yet.
