finally figured out where a small rattle was coming from the dash of my '14 tacoma.

seems like the panel right above the speedo and tachometer is the culprit. i'd like to (partially) remove that top panel and stuff some sort of thin foam to prevent this, alas i have no idea how to remove these things and i figured i would ask before i scratch my dash to shit trying to figure it out.

seems like older models had a phillips head in the center part? no idea if you just push on this newer one.

    thanks for the help!

Push the center button in and it pops out. Then pull it out.

This is correct. I've done it several times.

They are my favourite style. Easy to remove and install, rarely break, no plastic threads to strip. I swapped all the screw/push type on my motorcycle to that style.
