In a similar boat, after the first dealer filled fuel tank in 2019, all that has been put in the truck is e free 90+ octane. The Tacoma has over 50,000 miles now. I am very lucky, living near a smaller metro area, and in a large rural area, of the great lakes region, with lots of powersport toys, boats, equipment in our state... E free is everywhere. Personally, I put e free in EVERYTHING but, the Subaru daily driver. This includes but, not limited to Street motorcycles (dyno tuned for it too), dirt bikes, snowmobiles, boat outboards, chainsaw, tractors, zero turn, push mower, generators, etc...

I dont buy the "I got less mileage from efree" people. Maybe they put e85 which is cheaper, and has 85% ethanol content, which is both a little cheaper and gets close to 30% less fuel mileage.

Just from a storage standpoint, E free is where it is at. No stabil, or seafoam needed, just the fuel. Sometimes our toys sit for a year, or more, and fire right up, and idle... Try that with ethanol fuel, and no additives. Even then, they probably will not idle, and need a good carb/efi cleaning, or repair, replacement. A great example was covid...

We have a place in northern Ontario for fishing, sledding, hunting, dirt bikes etc.... We couldnt access 5 snowmobiles and 2 autos that were in our storage barn, for 18months, all had rec/efree fuel in them, and they all had fuel in them that was at least 2 years old. For the cars, I just charged/replaced the battery's and they were running well. For the sleds, I drained the fuel (2 stroke motors, you dont mess with low octane, older fuel ever), added fresh, they all started up and idled fine, within 3 pulls of the cord, with no residual issues for our riding season. The 2 year old fuel I drained out, went into our cars, and no issues were to be had. Again, try that with any fuel with ethanol in it.

    Worth it to me. Ski

I run ethanol and everything including lawnmowers. Haven’t had any problems.

Mexican gas has zero ethanol. My truck, boat and generators love it. Too bad I only get there four weeks a year. IMG_1310.jpg
