Been looking, have not found any good upgrade for PreRunner 5 speed automatic.

After fixing the Tacoma driveline vibration and axle wrap issues with one piece Aluminum driveshaft and custom Alcans, the leafs no longer load up, the stress now is on the motor and transmission mounts. Especially the transmission mount.

I now have a theory on the axle wrap that plagues 2nd gens.

I 'think' Toyota was fully aware of the force put on the driveline, and worried that this could cause damage to the transmission and/or transfer case and took the cheap easy way out. They used a 2 piece rear driveshaft with a carrier bearing/bushing and weak rear leaf setup to load up and absorb the force. Which in theory sounds pretty logical, but in practice as we all know is very flawed. Carrier causes vibrations, weak leafs have to 'unload' when your at a stop light, causing a 'lurch' and the weak OEM leafs eventually sag and fail.

    Anyways, transmission mount????
