Does clicking a torque wrench more than once add torque each time.

I read the article that you referenced. I am a lawyer, took physics in the '60's. What ever I do on an automobile or tractor is either self-taught, read about here and other places or learned by screwing up. I didn't own a torque wrench until about five years ago. Let me tell you, I never knew how much I didn't know. But, I enjoy learning, enjoy mechanics, when I do a job and it turns out well, I am both surprised and pleased.
    Thanks again.

I’m trying to imagine how one would achieve an accurate torque high as what would be required for a bridge. Perhaps a specific impact wrench.

Reminded me of a dot auditor watching our pre and post torque wrench calibration. The dude doing it was too small so he was doing a pull up on the wrench and it still wouldn’t click. So he sorta bounced and got it to click, the auditor called it unacceptable, need a bigger guy.

Something I’ve seen called auditorx or something. A wax coated bolt, with a male torx head. You use a female torx socket & impact wrench, then the male head would break off at the specified torque.
