Does Everyone’s Truck Idle Like This?

New to me 2017 TRD Sport.
Idle varies a lot with the AC compressor it seems.
I did a combustion cleaning on all cylinders, new stock type plugs, new Ripp Ignition Coils, Cleaned the IAT sensor with specific cleaner, Cleaned Throttle Body and Changed Air Filter with new Paper Filter and it still has this odd idle.
    Is this Normal?
It drops as low as 560RPM’s read from the aftermarket head unit which seems really low.

Yes this is normal. The RPMs are pretty close to what you'd see during normal driving conditions. However, the truck bumps up the RPM periodically with the AC running to help keep up with the demand of the engine and electrical demand. You'll also notice that if you're idling along (say, backing up), and you give steering input, the RPMs will bump up there as well.

Thanks Guys, just really weird I figured I’d ask.
I don’t like feel of the rpm up and down, it almost feels like it’s gonna stall. I am getting it tuned next month maybe they could bump it up 100rpms?

Probably normal for idling on the lower end of the scale when fully warmed up. Turning on the ac/fan will cause the idle to rise. My truck idles a smidgen below 700 rpm when warmed up, and will jump to about 1k if I turn on the fan.

I remember watching the fuel rate through the OBD port and when idling I could see an increase in fuel consumption when the compressor loaded the engine, however the RPM did not change significantly (at all actually).

I wonder if an update to the computer would help (just an update, not a tune). This would likely fall into throttle tuning and later Toyotas may have received minor adjustments to change how the throttle opens when the compressor cycles. That's the only thing I can think of.

My 2020 idles low to and it varies like that. Never checked the actual idle speed but I could with OBD fusion

You can go up the incline at this idle. Ain't gonna stall
Idle for AT is between 550-650( in P or N) per SM

My 2016 shakes like it's got a dead hole with the A/C on at idle ... M/T. Might be shitty motor mounts but nothing else is wrong with it. Normal.

To answer your question: Yes you could have a higher idle with a tune. The low idle is an emissions/EPA thing. These should be idling around 700rpm to be smooth.

My 2021 sport had a varied idle like yours until I tuned it. Ever since then it's been rock solid at around 550 rpms at a stop in D and very smooth. I'd suggest you try the tune with the idle they have on the standard tune file first. If it's not smooth then you can ask them about a custom file with a higher idle. I'm a former KDMax tuner and never had any of my customers request a higher idle setting.

That shouldn't be, imo its not normal. With the ac on in my truck, the idle will go up, but the engine is still so smooth I need to watch the tach to be sure it's still up there.

Normal. It will never stall but in my opinion, these trucks idle too low and it creates needless rumbling whenever AC cycles. The low idle is likely for emissions/fuel economy :(

Toyota must have change something on these later 3.5's...they do not idle that low that they have a rough idle.

I hope you kept the OEM coils. You might need them again.
