Does Hondo Garage still exist?

Hey,

Ordered a phone mount kit from Hondo about two weeks ago and they haven't shipped, won't answer my emails, and calls go to voicemail. I know they're in Montana so there might be some weather-based apocalypse or something right now (it's raining in CA so I naturally think the world is coming to an end), but just wanted to check to see if anyone has successfully received anything from Honda recently. Thx.

 

They do as far as I am aware, they are mostly all in on Go Fast Camper production

 

Not really sure whats going on, been some complaints about communication with GoFastCampers too.

seems Wiley and Graeme disappeared from here around mid December and havent been back

OK thanks, I'll give it a few more weeks and then I guess I can file a dispute with Paypal or Visa (hopefully it won't come to that). It's a shame because I was really looking forward to that vent mount.

 

I ordered a phone mount about two weeks ago and just received the shipping email yesterday. Not super convenient having to wait that long, but it'll come.

 

Seems to be the typical small business/fab shop in the offroad world. Communication starts great but begins falling off as popularity grows and business demands increase.

@methodtim These are good guys who won't steal from you. If you don't need the mount fast and don't think there's a better option then be patient. You'll get what you paid for.

 

It is an excellent mount and I am sure that you will get it. Delays do suck though, esp when they had extremely fast shipping in the past.


The GFC / Hondo folks have not been posting here for a while. There were some critical posts in the GFC thread even though they have delivered a bunch and supported them overly well after delivery. Just a growing pain thing, but very unlike some other examples.

 

Oh, absolutely not accusing them of anything shady. I know all about dealing with over-subscribed small businesses (read: remodel). I was just concerned because I've ordered from them before and things went smooth and fast. Add on to that no responses to multiple emails and phone calls and I was thinking something business-impacting had happened vs. anything underhanded.

Good to see someone ordered recently and received their goods. I'll keep waiting a few more weeks then.

I ordered a dash mount on Sunday. Got shipping notice on Monday via text message. Actually shipped on Tuesday. Should be delivered tomorrow.

 

If they can't be bothered to respond I'd be getting my money back and taking it elsewhere.

 

Well I want that mount.

 

Dammit, now I have to spend more money. Ordered to replace my gen 1.
My wife is going to be super happy she can fully close that vent now.

 

This is assuming they'll send you one.

 

I just chopped mine to make it look like the new one. A dremel and 5 minutes of your time and you'll save money. It allows the vent to open up a tad bit more.

 

I ordered one about 2 weeks ago.. Never got any tracking info.. I emailed them. and they responded sayin I would get tracking info that day. Well that day went by and I didnt receive anything.. So I emailed them the next day. No response. The following day the mount showed up.. I think it took less than a week from time of order to time of delivery
