I want to get some JBA off-road control arms. I was looking on their site and I’ve heard some people say they don’t clear 285s with some wheels. I’m lifted 2017 Tacoma. I have 285s with the level 8 17x8 -10 offset wheels. I just wanna know before I buy them that the JBA control arms will work and I won’t rub them with the tire. Can’t seem to find information on this and it’s been a couple of days and I haven’t gotten a response from them so can anyone confirm they will work fine? Thank you. Would love to buy them tonight thanks

Most likely not without a CMC.
You will be able to clear with adjustable UCAs like SPC. Do a search and you’ll find many posts and articles on this subject.

I have the cmc chop and shit. I’m just wondering if my tires will hit the upper control arm that’s all. Some people say the jba are little wide up too and 285s will hit it without the right back spacing of the wheels. I’m just wondering if my Wheel set up and tire with work with these

Whether or not your tire will run depends on your wheel offset, backspacing and tire width.

JBA provides recommend backspace to fit their UCA, read their website..

I believe they require a minimum of 4.5” backspace

I can’t find what backspacing my wheels are though. That’s the problem. I have the level 8 17x8 -10 offset wheels. I just don’t know what backspacing

a -10 offset should be around 4.1 backspacing.

I have 285s w/ JBA standard high caster. Wheel:
    16 x 8
0 Offset (which is 4.5 backspace)

    No problem at all.
-10 offset (4.1 backspace) you should be good.

EDIT: never mind, you need 4.25-4.5 backspace or -6 to 0 offset (based on JBA)

Well my friend has 285’s with -10 offset and he’s perfectly fine with no rubbing but his wheels are 16 inch and mine are the same ones just 17 inch

It shouldn't matter about the diameter of the wheel. It matters with the diameter, width of the tire and backspace/offset with the wheel.
