I actually just purchased and installed a Bullydog Watchdog a couple of weeks ago. Trying to adjust my driving habits and bump up my mileage a little bit. I have an Ulatraguage also but got tired of it...

That only works at WOT. IIRC, the new intakes have a "lean condition" only at WOT, correct? Do you remember what he said the AFR was?

The lean condition only affects WOT. My thoughts on it are this.....I think running more lean (12.5:1 or so) on a NA engine, "would" give more power, as the AF ratio is closer to ideal. However, it also increases heat. If you were under WOT conditions for extended periods, then I could see it being an issue. However, I dont see any issues arising from the new intake from a lean condition arising. On an SC'd engine, Yes. You want to keep the AFR's on the rich side, to more control heat, and detonation. But on the NA engine, I dont see it being an issue.

Well.....To get the AFR's running more rich, then Yes.

I thought I saw somewhere that the new TRD INtake was near 12.5:1 or so @ WOT.

A little off topic, but interesting none the less, Honda is developing some engines that run at an AFR of 25:1 at cruise, and between 15:1 and 17:1 under WOT!

Your kinda slow arent ya? Notice application on the link I posted....its a V6  The kit comes with a pump relocation bracket.

Your a very ignorant person you know that?

Oh and it was installed on a V6, not my motor. People to install things on trucks other than their own...

So, tell us: How do you like the performance of the Airraid CAI? No CELs? Good sound? Performance boost? do tell!

This is just money wasted that could be put into something much better!

Unless of course if you have a supercharger.

I have a supercharger and a very restrictive 2012 intake design.

Yeah it is. I had a stock intake on a TRD s/c and decided to put in a K&N CAI strictly for looks because I hated the look of that stupid factory box taking up half the engine bay and covering up my secksi s/c. I installed it and was stoked with how much better my engine bay looked but the real surprise came when I started the truck. It turned over much easier and idled much smoother. When I took it out of the garage the throttle response was instantly noticeable. When you start to press the gas peddle the engine instantly responds whereas before there was a slightly lag between the gas peddle press and the engine actually responding. Not so now. The next thing I noticed was how LOUD my s/c was under WOT. It screams and sounds amazing. I got mine used and am VERY happy that I decided to go with it because I wasn't expecting any performance gains what-so-ever based on all the threads I read on this forum. In my case it was noticeably better in just about every aspect.

Sorry to burst your bubble but I never said I got more power out if mine. That would require extensive dyno testing both before & after to be able to state & I haven't gone to that much effort. I stand by all of my previous statements. Please don't put words into my mouth to try to make some sort of point.
