Have been running on stock BFG since 2013 with 43k on there. It definitely needs to be replaced. Made an appt with Discount today to get the Michelin Defender LTX M/S 275/65/16. Well, the tires came in but with Load E instead. I was going to come back when the other one will be in stock but I decided to go with the load E for convenience sake. Same price. $855 - $70 rebate = $785. I didn't really feel any different than the old ones. I don't do any towing or off road. Should I have waited for the Load D or will these be just fine?

You'll be fine. Plenty of people run E's on their off-road rigs as a sort of "security blanket" to make themselves feel safe against punctures. Not necessary on these light trucks, but you'll probably see a longer life span out of them.

Thanks for that. They seem to be very good driving around today.

Never run them myself, but from everything I've read, if you're not looking for a hard use off-road tire, there's no better choice than the Michelin LTX.
