I have a 2017 SR5 V6 2wd. I know I have a front differential pumpkin with fluid that needs to be changed from time to time. Do I have a front one too? I thought there was some kind of difference between 4WD and 2WD.

2wd has no front diff. Look under your front bumper

    It's not a stupid question.
It's a good question, as it shows you are willing to learn and want to do the proper maintenance.
As stated, a 2WD truck does not have differential in the front.

The difference is, a 4WD truck will have a Transfer Case, a front driveshaft, a front differential, and 2 CV axles going into the front wheels.

How many miles on the truck? If unknown when it was last changed: change it now. That will set a known baseline. Normal opinion here on change intervals are 30-60 thousand mile intervals unless it's in the "severe service" category. If so: every 30,000. It's an inexpensive job if you do it yourself. I am not in this classification (severe) and last changed it at 130k. I'm only driving it about 12,000/yr now. Next will be 160k if I live that long.

Make sure you can remove the fill plug before you unscrew the drain plug and let all the old oil out.
