3 leaf AAL packs will give you a solid 3" lift in the rear if you leave the overload leaf in, happened with my 3 leaf AAL from HS too.

If you plan on running with any weight in the rear, you should keep it as is because AAL packs aren't designed to perform great with a lot of weight like an upgraded HD leaf pack would. I have a bed rack and RTT over my bed now and the 3 leaf AAL holds it ok as is, but if I throw another 50 - 100lbs worth of gear in the bed it starts to sag pretty bad.

Generally leaving the overload in results in 2" of lift on a second gen. 1.5" without the overload.

If you did a single AAL your rear would be an 1-1.5" taller not 2", and you'd be evened out a bit more.

...Unless you had a 2" single AAL.

Op - It sounds like you are going for a specific ride height. And you do look a little ass high. First, you need to know where you want to be. Factory rake is typically ~2". Meaning the rear is 2" higher than the front. One of the more common lift setups (to level it out more) is a 3/2. 3" in the front, 2" in the rear. With this setup, you lose 1" of rake, which makes it look more level, without giving you the squat look, or "Bro Lean" (rear either dead level with, or lower than the front), and still being functional as a truck.

So, take measurements from center of hub, to the bottom of the fender front, and back, and let us know what you have, and where you want to be. Then you can decide what to do (that pic you posted looks like you have at least 4" of rake to me).

I thought the 3 leaf progressive AAL is only 1 1/2 “ of lift with stock overload leaf removed ?

I like the look...this is pretty much the intended rake for TACOs in my book, to each his own. But yes it looks normal. Rear leafs tend to settle more with time vs. coils in my book, plus it is a truck so you put load in back and it performs well under load. Lastly, it's up to you. My 2 cents:
    Here's mine, clearly raked:

Mine has about the same take. Factory Baja suspension up front with a 1.5” AAL w/ overloads in the back.

I have weight in the back about 50% of the time so it makes sense to me. It sits about level with 600# load.

I also need bigger tires but these E Rated Hankook Dynapros wear like iron. I have 55k on them and still have 10-11mm of tread.

Probably different for 2nd gens, I'm a 1st gen. It was advertised as 2.5" with the overload in but I got closer to 3.

17 in methoods and 265/70r17, 884s and billys at 1.75 in front no rear lift

I have had the 884s and 5100s for a good while now and have moved my 5100s around trying to find what was level I love the way my truck sits its not really a bro lean but its the 884s with the billys on the 3rd notch and its pretty level i only have the billy shocks on the back with no lift. I have ran the billys all the way up and had 33s with no problems with rubbing although i wouldn't do that unless you like to replace cv axles 3-4 times a year and pretty much enjoy the ride of a tank. I have pictures i could send you if you wanted to see at all the settings but you'd have to keep in mind i have no rear lift just the front i don't put alot of weigh in my bed other than a four-wheeler and that is serious bro lean going on. just let me know I'll send em to ya. and I'm sure I'll catch hell for even mentioning i have a slight bro lean with my truck but its really all personal preference in the end.
