Its an 07 TRD, i believe its the sport since it has the fake hood scoop and 17"s. Gonna change the rear diff oil but im not sure whether or not to use the LSD additive. The main thing that i've read to know if you have the LSD is theres an LSD sticker on the rear diff but I dont have a sticker there. According to my research the 2007 trd sport should actually have a LSD. Did my sticker fall off?

You may want to research via the VIN #.
That number holds lots of info, if it hasn't been modified.

An '07 would have a mechanical LSD rear, if it has one there would be a pretty little sticker on the pumpkin just above the fill plug saying only LSD oil. My '06 SR5 has one. images_ff5faa9c0bc563af9b8c3578a17bbf4b008b752b.jpg

You can also go to the stealership parts counter and give your vin number and get a printout of everything that came on it when it left the factory, I got one for mine. Well crap just read where you didn't have a sticker, more than likely ypu don't have one.

I ask that question to the dealership and they said that only the Tundras get the additive put in with the fluids. The Tacomas don't get it.

I changed mine two years ago (05 Tacoma trd lsd ) and you don't use extra additives. Just use the Valvoline rear diff. fluid I believe it says on the bottle for lsd models. If it's a TRD medel it should have lsd

What about the 05 sr5 pre runner? Would it hurt if I just used lsd oil to be on the safe side?

no harm in adding oil with LSD additive into a diff that doesnt need it.

Quite a few of the synthetic oils do not require LSD additive. You could go with one of those products and not have to worry either way.

Weathertech floor liners moded to hold OEM floor mats, weathertech vent visors, Toyota bed mat, LEER 100XL cap, hood gasket mod to stop whistling.
If it does, consider yourself lucky, the electronic LSD in my 14 Sport sucks. I don't like it at all, I wish I had my locker back of my 06 OffRoad.
