Does the 2016 Tacoma come with a case for the manuals in the glove box?

Just picked up my new '16 this week. I noticed that the manuals were not in a case in the glove box like they are in my wife's '15 Venza. Just loose sitting on the shelf in the glove box.
So is the truck supposed to come with a case for the manuals? If so, could someone post up a pic of what it's supposed to look like? I plan to ask the salesman about it this coming Monday. Thanks.

Yes. It is supposed to. Mine was missing the case and the manuals and an extra key because someone had it for 4K miles before it actually sold as new. Go figure. I put it on the "you owe" form for the dealer and picked it all up the next week.

Looks like the rest of them.

Thanks for the replies and posting the picture guys.
My truck sat on the showroom floor for awhile, so I'm thinking that was when the case disappeared.
I thought maybe Toyota redesigned the '16 glove box with extra shelfs and saved themselves 5 cents per vehicle. :)

Mine came with it too. Was all rolled up wrapped in plastic stuffed in the back of the glove box so I had to let it sit out a bit to unroll. My dealer put everything in their "fancy" manual pouch and shoved it in front of the good one.

I was hoping this was the answer but I just checked and it's clean as a whistle in there. I give him a call Monday. Thanks.

if you look in the master option thread, if your window sticker doesn't show a "DK" option, then technically your not entitled to a portfolio to hold your manual. if a dealer does give you one and you don't have "DK" option be happy they gave you something :)

I jerked that shelf out and threw it in the trash can. Now I can put things in there like a half roll of paper towels. I did get the manual cover after I emailed my salesman. 1 week later and I got it in the mail.

Mine didn't come with one either. Dealer told me they didn't have any and that they were "on order". I'll have to call the guy and remind him.
Every time I open the glovebox I have 4 or 5 manuals falling out onto the floor, it's quite annoying.

I don't care about the manual case. For now I'm using the one from my trade in. After about another week the manual is out of my glove box and on a shelf in the garage. image.jpg

Received a cheesy plastic folder for all the money spent on these trucks you'd think Toyota could do much better. :(

For those that don't have cases, all of the manuals fit very snug in the lower shelf portion of the glove box. They don't come out when I open it. Everything else in there flies out when I open it, pretty bad design if u ask me.

Heck, I only received 3 of the 6 manuals and did not get the main 600+ page one or a fancy leather case. Called my salesman today and he said he would order the manuals and case and have them to me in a few days. We shall see...

Just checked my window sticker and you are right. There is no: "DK-Preferred Owner Portfolio" listed. I never knew what that meant when I saw it listed on the Master Option list thread.
So it looks like I am indeed not entitled to one. Just thought all vehicles came with one. My salesman was nice enough to order me one.
I told him I would pay for it.

Who gives a shit about the portfolio? I would be more upset about the missing power seats.

if you do pay for it, unofficially I have seen a $6 charge for it by the regional port to the dealer. Toyota doesn't have a invoice/msrp pricing for it.

you can reference my paperwork in this post : https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...costs-master-list.388345/page-6#post-10741858
