Does the 22r have a rev limiter?

This might be a dumb question, but I've looked it up and there is so many different answers. I got everything within the range of 4000 to 8000 rpm redline, or no redline at all.

 

Not from the factory who knows what might have been added .

It is not a high rpm engine!! High mileage to much right pedal tends to takeout a rod bearing

Lesson learned in my younger dumber days. After that I kept things around 4000 rpm max .

These Engines build Horse Power in the head very Expensive for each Horse Power gained

After all it is your truck

Yota Tech is a great source for these engines

 

Just push the gas pedal to full throttle out of gear when it blows up, there your limit.

 

By the way I put 500k miles on my 82 before it met its death.

 

My Celica did not.
