I had a fellow member tell me that a UWS TBS-60-A-LP-BLK toolbox fits a 1998 Ext Cab.

I wanted to see if anyone else can confirm this because according to UWS website "Note: At this time, the deep version of this box will NOT fit the Tacoma 4 door and Ext Cab"

What is everyone else paying for this toolbox. Is it any cheaper buying it online?

    Thanks,

    Killer

The UWS Deep box is designated by a "D" in the model number, TBSD-60.... The box you have listed I have on a 2006 2nd Gen, it is 55 inches wide on the inside and 63 on the rail, and I am sure the depth of the TBS box is fine. The deep box will not fit your truck. The best place is Amazon.com, 307. with free shipping. The photo in Amazon is for a square instead of the wedge box so don't go by that. It is a great box, I am glad I got it.

I have a second generation (2006), my box was the TBS-63. I bought it two weeks ago on Amazon for 307., now it is 352. I believe you need the TBS-60 for your truck. The 60/63 designation seems to be the width, obvioulsly BLK is black. Again don't rely on Amazon description, as I said before, the photo is the wrong one. If you are 60 inches on the rails then this is the one. The price went up substantially in two weeks.
