Does this thing actually work?

Does this thing actually work or is it just a placebo effect? And is it safe to use? And does it void your warranty?

Yes, it works great. Throttle ramping is controlled by the computer, this manipulates the signal to give you a more one-to-one pedal feel. Not something that can be duplicated by your right foot. Just remember, never change modes while pressing the throttle as this can set a CEL. Confuses the ECU. OTT tune is a better option, it does a lot more than just re-map the throttle. Either one is a great improvement.

 

Overpriced.
Just push the pedal down more or wear platform shoes.

I was interested in what pedal commander was after it being a sponsor of formula drift. after watching this I wouldn't even consider it.

These devices only improve throttle response. They don't add power or make the truck faster. It's simply sends the signal to the throttle body to open faster. You can step on the gas as fast and hard as you possibly can and won't make it respond as fast as this device will. Those who say a fast and heavy foot will do the same thing don't understand what this device does it how the throttle works on these trucks.

Having said that, I got rid of mine after a couple months and went back to stock before getting OTT.

Spend the money on a tune and you'll be glad you did.
