Just curious, does anyone know if Toyota ever reads the TW posts? Seems like they could improve the owner satisfaction pretty easy just by surfing these forums. They could fix the rear springs. Move the rear view mirror up and out of the center of the windshield, put a power outlet in the center console, etc. etc. Just curious if anyone has ever heard of Toyota actually using information from TW?

well if they wanted to fix the rear springs they would have by now...they know theres an issue there, thus the TSB.

    Its all about the $$

Ur thinking of China... China will own us.... which actually is a pretty common misconception, we are in more debt to ourselfs than any other nation. Over 50 percent of our debt comes from money we have borrowed against entitlement programs... But we do of course owe trillions of dollars to china and other nations haha

They are in here for sure 100%. They prob don't post, just lurk but why wouldn't they be? I work for BMW & I know for fact they lurk in bimmerpost & e90post. Trust me, Toyota is here. Nobody spends more money than fanatics...these big auto manufactures know this & want to know what we want. You may not see it for years b/c they've already designed 3-5 years out but they're paying attention to this without a doubt.

I remember when I had my MazdaSpeed, the motor was real fragile and would tend to blow when it got cold and people were modified. Several members were denied warranty even though they returned it to stock before taking it in. Mazda had browsed the national forums and found out they were modified. Once again, it's all about saving money, not about customer feedback. Beside, everyone wants different things from their Tacoma.

Not that I know by experience at Toyota but, I'd bet a $ they do.

As a piss on technical employee (I helped decide what would be required to support operations at new business locations) at a previous employer, I was involved in a weekly meeting that helped the marketing group decide which direction the company should take. All levels of management were involved from Chairman down & at least monthy the COO would brief post from enthusiast sites.

The meetings where these post where briefed were the most interesting.

I'd say roughly 5 per week. But no, I'm hourly so I guess that's why I get stuck doing valet or odd tasks.ha

Dealerships definitely do if they are mentioned by name...I'm guessing they google their business and see what comes up. I remember a thread a few years back where a guy was trying to get the spring TSB done, named the dealership by name, how crappy their manager was, and got called out by the guy the next time he came in.
