Did you mean Carbon Monoxide? Never had an issue. Cold temperatures never an issue either but I live in the moderate PNW and my Shepherds are fine down into the 20's.

I keep a CO alarm in my cap with my dogs. It's never gone off that I am aware of. Good thread on crates. I'm considering a double crate for my two collies, who are 75 and 55 lbs. Right now they travel loose in the cap.

This is my set up for the shepherd, I chain the dog box to one of the d-rings with a lock and the wood frame holds the box from shifting, i throw 2 black milk crates besides the dog box, only got the one to haul though

I know when I was looking for dog crates for the tundra crewmax I found a post over on tundras.com for some high quality crates that will fit in the backseat of the crewmax tundra (not really fond of putting them in the bed)

    impact dog crates : https://www.impactdogcrates.com/

    K9 gunner kennels : https://gunnerkennels.com/

one of the team you can get a kennel with door on both sides.

    ps: they are really $$$

TNC Fabrication out of Tennessee, they'll build you a custom setup for a decent price. If safety is your main concern, make the Gunner Kennels work - they're the ONLY crash tested kennel on the market and I've seen photos from post crashes with these kennels and trust them.

In fact, I'm trying to see if I can make one fit inside the cab of my new 3rd Gen Doublecab for my 65lb AmStaffy I just need to get the measurements of the interior and door opener.

+1 for RTK. I have 2 intermediates linked together with d ring tie downs on the corners. Put d rings on my front bed bolts and have cam lock tie downs holding the kennels in place. With a bed mat they don’t move at all. Had a custom double kennel jacket made so dogs can share heat. Get a 1 piece (rotomolded) kennel if you’re concerned about safety (also a concern for me). I run this setup with a cap, first bird season on this truck but about 50 miles of gravel travel and no issues to speak of yet.

The G1 medium will fit. Not sure about the Intermediate. The intermediate height might be too tall. I kinda doubt it.

This crate is 22.5Wx32Lx24H. The passenger seat in the pic is nearly all the way back and holds it firmly in place.

The Impact crates mentioned above are garbage. Had one, got rid of it. Poorly made, even worse thought-through. Don't waste your money.

GunnerKennels crates are awesome. Wish they had one big enough to fit my dog.

I recently went back to normal rear seats + quality seat cover, but up to a few weeks ago I ran this setup:

That's a Zinger Winger DX5000 crate. Quality stuff.

That seat-replacement platform is for sale in the Canada buy&sell section. Crate is actually for sale on the local Craigslist, too (Vancouver / Kelowna).

It is. I went two RTKs because of his post. I went with two larges tho and got the side doors. They fit a 75lbs GSD and 60lbs Dutchie great.

GSD is a PSD. Picked up the Dutchie because the sire was a great man hunter but she doesn't have it. Great drive, but skittish and soft.

@Flash1034 From what I remember, it is lifted, he is running a 2" Rough Country (spacer) leveling kit in front and an AAL in the rear (unknown brand/lift)

After adding weight to my pro I also needed a spacer to keep it from looking weird. I then did a full leaf pack. Basically the ride went to crap. If possible I recommend getting aftermarket adjustable coilovers with stiffer springs. Then sell the trd pro suspension to cover most of the cost.

Does that crate take up the large section seat leaving the single jumper available?
