First off thank you to whomever came up with this idea first!! My boy loves it.

I stumbled across this idea from a group post, but cannot remember which post that was. Here’s my go at it:

$18 6x8 fos utility carpet from Home Depot

    $11 sheet of osb .
(Plywood was a couple of dollars more. But this was thick enough)

    $15 arrow Stapler / staples

I cut the wood into 4 spots and did not use hinges. Just in case I wanted to utilize the single seat for my son.

Guess we better just never take them anywhere... At least the pup is in the cab. Nice work OP.

I like it. One thing I hate about my 3rd gen is the crappy access cab seats. I wish they folded down flat like my 2nd gen.

 He built a nice platform so his dog can come along. I take my dog hiking, camping and fishing, all the time. So your dogs never go anywhere with you?

Bilstein/Icon 2" suspension lift with wheelers 5 leaf springs, 7-pin relocate through bumper, bfg KO2s, redline hood struts, immryo mirror relocation, stubby antenna, dipped emblem, heated mirrors, Jason trek cap, led fogs, debadged
Or, alternatively, a harness with a seat belt anchor for a little bit of mobility. Any time I hit the highway my little girl gets a seat belt. A kennel might be better but not entirely necessary, especially for anxious dogs that need a bit of freedom.

Triggered? I think you just need to take a deep breath and relax buddy. You ain't gonna change what people do in real life, over the internet. Not with this approach anyway...

Lol, happy to bring life to all who participated in this thread!

I measured the “cushion” area of the seat while it was folded. The panel falls right into a tiny opening inbetween the end of the seat and the back wall, the length of both back-wood(s) keep the fit snug and jammed against the side walls.

I took a screenshot of the group convo that I found the other day. Someone ordered a custom dog bed that fit perfectly.
I might order at some point.

I'm not sure on the dog sickness part. I've never experienced that with my dogs.

They do love to ride with the windows down though!

We had one that way too. Picked her up and the first trip we didn’t make it 200 yards before the first belch.

Eventually, my wife started taking her on around the block trips. Then down the street, then to sonic, then eventually she sort of got over it. It was a slow acclimation, but she got over it. Perhaps give some treats at the end and they associate the trip with yummies.
