Thanks for the heads up kevin. Hopefully you will have your bumper squared away so you can make the next one.

Sierrahusky, I'm still looking good more-or-less. I gotta work on Saturday, but if the meet time is still 10am I think I could swing it and just go in real early. Negative on the winch but I have everything else.

Also, your map-link to the Terribles puts you in Turkey... the country of...

It should be nice and shitty on Sat, looking forward to it!

Turkey.... Oops! Can you tell its my first post for a trail run. lol

I am set up pretty well so I think we will have enough and wont "cross fingers" need a winch. I guess its going to just be snow snow snow! I bet for the first part it will be just mud but either way it will be great. So from terribles to dog valley and then should you need to bail for any reason we will always be close to 80 so you could go if needed. I know I am off so I can do anytime. And since it sounds like its just going to be the reno guys if you wanna meet a little earlier or later (not sure when you work) just let me know.

It would be nice ot get out there without being rushed so if you wanna just call me and let me know what time you can swing I can plan accordingly. 775.671.1084 Josh

So all though all of the guys that were planning on coming from TW could not make it, a couple of the local 4x4 club guys made it. Apparently most people who buy a 4x4 only use it in the sand or mud and are either scared, dont enjoy, or dont understand how to drive in the snow. We had about 15-18 inches on average with no broken trail (thanks terry) and were on back roads at 6K-7500 feet most of the time. All in all the 45 miles took us roughly 3 hours. It was fairly easy going and only 1 person got stuck. Luckily we had proper recovery kit and spent less than 30 minutes recovering on the whole trip. I ran 15psi in my MT+S 's and did not have to come out of 4HI for 99% of the trail. The only part that was sketchy was a drop off that went in to the lake so when we did that I ran 4lo down and 4lo + elocker and atrac up. Needless to say my mostly stock taco rocked. We even had a douche bag show up in an FJ and a Hummer.... The best part was he got stuck in what my taco look like a joke. He was so embarrassed that he just gunned it and left. The hummer did not even attempt.

The deepest area was just over the middle of my door. THis is a picture from our starting point. lol

The jeep was spinning its wheels on the ice under the snow. It was super wet out. But I thought this would be a nice image for the tacoma world guys lol. No offense andrew.

Either that or they didn't want to drive up to Tahoe with the other 10000 dickheads on the road, in the snow.

Ya you have a point.... all though the roads were fairly clear they were a mess, and I am sure tons of idiots were littered on the highway throughout the day.

Thanks for posting up. Looks like you guys had a good time.

For myself, I'm not attempting any snow trail runs until after my truck has locker and sliders installed.

If I would have had my tires on i would have made it, but here's a consolation prize for ya from the last trip. I thought it was a great pic.

I think the sliders is smart, I could not be happier with my relentless sliders I just got. The only bummer part is I have not yet had a chance to get so stuck that I needed them lol. But it did give me confidence on the trail. No more worries! Next up, some upgraded budbuilts all the way.
